"...and I swear, 'twere as if I was invisible! Always going on about the girls, and 'shall I buy you this ribbon, Louisa?' and 'have another cake, Mary!' and not a word, not a single word to me! Leastways till me father came home and got the belt out. Then it was 'come here, you scoundrel!' but I'll bet you doubloons to barnacles he couldn't remember me name most of the time, the old drunkard."
"Now that's very harsh, Jack."
"Trust me, mate, not exaggerating a bit of it. Was I glad to lose their name when I enlisted, believe you me."
"You enlisted?"
"Oh, aye, you can bet your sweet fanny I did; soon as I was tall enough to pass for twelve."
"Last year, then? ...Ow, blast it, Jack! That hurt!"
"Watch your tongue, me lad, size ain't everything. 'sides, I'm big enough where it counts."
"As I've had ample opportunity to discover for myself."
"Hmpf. Where was I?"
"Waving that bottle around and telling me you had been in the Navy."
"Ah, yes. Deserted when I was seventeen, captain of a sloop by twenty, had me lovely Pearl by twenty-five. Never thought of the sad bastards until tonight, either. You and your bloody questioning."
"Do not sulk, Captain, it does not become you."
"Since you ask so sweetly... oh, yes, that feels nice, right there..."
"...are you happy with your lot then, Jack? Always on the run, always having to hide."
"Not running now, am I, mate? You've caught me fair and square."
"So I did. My very own pirate."
"Only my own self, if you please, sir. But I'm quite willing to share."
"Please do."
"Too many buttons in the way. What do you need so many buttons for? ...and to answer your question, 'course I'm happy. People as far back as England have heard of me. Everybody knows Captain Jack Sparrow."
"Intimately. Hush now."
"Quite insolent tonight, are we?"
"You needn't worry, Jack. In this bed, you'll always come first."
"I'll keep you to that, mate... ah, do that again..."
